UK food activists are mobilising tomorrow (June 8) to plant pop-up community gardens in central London, Edinburgh, Bristol, Manchester and Stroud.
The action is in support of food sovereignty and is backed by calls on the UK government to stop channelling GBP 395 million of its development budget into corporate backhanders. ARC2020 attended a europAfrica conference earlier this week where African and European NGO speakers urged civil society to make its voice heard above the corporate charm offensive.
